“People who end up with the good jobs are the proactive ones who are solutions to problems, not problems themselves, who seize the initiative to do whatever is necessary to get the job done.” — Stephen R. Covey

The above quote underscores what is currently happening in the real estate industry.

Do you want to know why? Here goes.

This pandemic has affected so many businesses, the real estate industry being no exception. For the preservation of our health and safety, many businesses had to close their doors which resulted in the loss of revenue. The choices here for many of those businesses were:

1) continue to stay closed and lose revenue, or

2) come up with alternative ways to operate.

In the real estate industry, realtors have had to deal with limited home showings and open houses at a standstill. Faced with this crisis, realtors had to tap into their creative juices in order to keep business going.

So, what have they done?

They have started virtual tours!

What does this mean for the buyer or seller?

  1. Quicker tours

With the tours now being done virtually, they are able to be completed at a faster pace since clients navigate for themselves.

2. Safer tours.

Potential clients are allowed to remain in the comfort of their homes and virtually tour a house. With the absence of person to person interaction, there is peace of mind about the risk of infection.

3. Tours are just like the real thing.

Realtors work with home stagers, photographers, websites, and other professionals to make the tour as smooth and close to reality as possible. This allows clients to still find the home of their dreams.

With this new way of conducting home tours taking over the real estate industry, as a potential client you just need to ensure that you are in the right hands.

As a buyer, whatever you are interested in buying — residential property or condominium, for example — or if you are just looking to relocate to something similar to or different from what you currently have, you should get yourself an experienced realtor that knows the market.

Additionally, if you are planning to sell, the same rules apply. Get yourself an expert realtor who can get you the best price for your property in the shortest amount of time.

More specifically, if you are a resident of St Petersburg, Florida, and thinking about buying or selling a house during this current pandemic, you do not need to worry since virtual home tour services are available in your area!
